OVERVIEW

In this 6 hours introductory class, learn the basics of metalsmithing and make your very own piece of silver jewelry using traditional techniques. This is a great beginner's class and an excellent introduction to making silver jewelry for children and adults (age 7+). You will work with wire or sheet to design and make your own piece of jewelry. The 6 hours class will allow you to go more into detail with your designs and give it a stunning finish.

This class runs from 9:00-12:00 or 13:30 - 16:30 (special times available upon request)

• Sawing
• Stamping and hammering
• Soldering
• Sanding and polishing
• Working with silver
• Safety

Class sizes are small, with no more than 6 students at a time to allow one-on-one time with the tutors. With the techniques you are shown, you will be able to make 1 piece of jewelry from silver to take home with you.

What you need to bring to this class
If you have an idea or inspiration for a piece of jewelry to make, you are welcome to bring it. Everything else that you need will be provided.

• Using more than 5 gram of silver, extra charge 50K / gram
